Red Teas (Rooibos Herbal)

RED Teas is actually a misnomer, as these are first off not actually a tea, but rather an Herbal beverage made of Rooibos leaves. The Rooibos plant is from South Africa and has long been a natural beverage served hot by local natives to aid digestion. It has been ‘discovered’ by the Western world and is now available in almost any flavor imaginable. The tiny Rooibos needle-like leaves turn red when oxidized, and give the beverage a natural reddish color and sweetness. The plant and it’s teas are 100% caffeine free and are extremely high in antioxidants. These make wonderful hot as well as summertime iced-teas. As they have no caffeine, they are also wonderful bedtime teas.
