As the original Living Room of the cabin, this wall was 'finished' with quarter-sawn fir to fill the inter-log spacing instead of chinking. Giving the more 'polished' look that any formal Living Room of the era should have.

The rear of the original cabin is visible here with the exposed ceiling beam with quarter-sawn finish work. The rest of the wall was removed when the cabin was expanded in 1975.
