Hello all.
It is hard to believe Summer is over, the leaves are changing colors and all that white stuff is all-too-quickly heading our way!

It has been a very, very busy summer for us here at the Tea Cottage, certainly our best year ever! Our menu changes, huckleberry daiquiris/margaritas and corn dogs have all drawn new customers. And our new retail items were popular among our shoppers and browsers. So we wish to thank all of you that have supported us not only this season, but through the years.

So now I wanted to keep you in the loop as to our future plans.

First, we are closing this coming weekend for the season, Saturday October 8th will be our last day open. We do not plan to re-open until Mother's Day Afternoon Tea in May 2012.

For the winter we are taking the business in a different direction. We will be available for in-home catered luncheons and catered tea parties. We are available to come to your home, office or other location for that special luncheon for your friends or a very special tea for your celebrations. Certainly something different for that annual Christmas office luncheon perhaps.

Then we have our annual Traditional Christmas Teas......
We will not be holding our Traditional Christmas Teas in the same manner that we have in past years. Specifically, we will not have set dates for you to select from and sign up for. Instead we are offering the following three options:

1) We will come and cater a Christmas Tea at your home.
This requires a minimum commitment of 15 people.

2) We will cater a Christmas Tea for your group of 15 or more people at the Tea Cottage.

3) For those of you that do not have a group of 15, we will have a "wait list" of people desiring Christmas Tea.

The list will consist of the number of people in your party and the dates you are interested in. Once we accumulate 15 or more names, then we will hold a Christmas Tea on that date. We anticipate most of these "wait list" teas will occur right before Christmas and the week between Christmas and New Years. No matter which you are interested in, please email or call us for information, pricing and sign-ups.

Carl is able to travel with his corn dogs and bubble teas, so think about having a corn dog party at your place. All ages enjoy a hand-dipped corn dog now and then. You would be a hit!

You are now able to buy our teas off our website and soon other retail items, specifically the Huckleberry margarita and daiquiri mixes.
Our huckleberry margaritas and daiquiris have been an incredible hit this summer. They make a great Christmas gift with the recipe we e-mail you.
That would certainly take care of a lot of Christmas presents for those hard to buy folks, and it certainly is quite unique.

We always enjoy your patronage and seeing familiar faces again each summer. We have completed our seventh year because of you and certainly want to thank you for your on-going support. I hope you embrace our new direction and we get to visit special events with you.
